It would be Nethasa one of the Elder Kets who would tell them the story, not that she was too keen to. Elder Kets have a responsibility to tell the ‘Junior Kets’ the stories of the history even, of the Akademy. Nethasa had a shared, well with Delise, dislike for history. The past? Nope not her fav subject, to quote her “What possible relevance has history with anything of the present!
Thus one might suppose her telling of the story was less than enthusiastic except of course for the more gory details? Her irritation had been fuelled by the desire the ‘inquisition’ of certain Kets to know the answer to the strange figure in the Collonades of a ‘Priestess?‘
Bjoi accompanied by Eula had been annoying enough in insisting she told them the story but this Humana female, Taon had been pestering her to the point of distraction! If she had tried to shift past them it was not, where Taon was concerned, going to happen anytime soon!
She blocked her from leaving.
Now a small group of other Kets gathered round. Curious to know what was going on, noting the stance that Taon had taken.
Taon could be. one of the most irritating of Kets, with her persistent, almost insane, level of curiosity. Every other word with Taon was WHY?! “Alright, alright!“ They sat down, facing her, to listen.
"Everyone knows about Petties?" She paused looked at them almost peering at them. "Well for those who don't then I suggest you ask around and find out, I'm not going into detail now!“
Taon started to ask her 'WHY' when she was hushed by the other Kets.
“You can't have good without evil. Its a fact. Where there is light there will always be darkness to provide shadows for your enemies to hide within.
When colonists, explorers, whatever you want to call them, as pioneers; first got into the new territories or worlds to inhabit.
They brought in with them all the good, bad and indifference that had been part of who they were, their race, their beliefs.
It also meant that those like Pettifer the one who invented the Petties, who had a score to settle, could use the instruments of his creation, to sow the seeds of disharmony. Unrest, greed, envy. Until finally war broke out. Not within that part of the galaxy, nor the planets but the civil war between rival factions within the same zones.
True there were those who helped each other, looked out for some who were not so fortunate in life. It helped maintain a balance a Karma. Ruined by those who wanted to be slavers, bullies, thugs, domineering and building up their own armies, thieves and despots.
Absolute rule and total Autocracy? Death to any who opposed their objectives? One such being was called Dahasa.
In less than five of Earth’s years Dahasa’s armies had seized over 30 Colonies, imposed martial law and ensured tithes, were paid to them.
Putting into place garrisons with their own troopers and commanders, to ensure the colonists were constantly reminded of their servitude? The people had no choice but to submit, or face the terror, the rage and the punishment that would see their people suffer. Legends of such savage brutality, enough to give you lot nightmares.
Sometimes beyond our understanding of evil, it is something even today, that cannot be spoken of!
Fear creates, panic. Weakness spawns indecision. Natural to run for your life when you are confronted by the brutality of such evil. Advance militia sent on ahead, as a reminder to those who might think of putting up any resistance against Dahasa or his armies?
There was, after they had demonstrated what the punishment was for those who dared oppose the new rulers autocracy? Seldom opposition. Thus Dahasa it appeared, was unstoppable." She paused, as one of the other Elders joined them. Nethasa greeted her then continued.
“The Cdara had established an off world colony on planet 20p5 in the binary system of Ceox when Dahasa’s forces attacked them? Unknown to Dahasa they were rumored to be protected by a power that came from a source that only their priestesses knew of.
Their high priestess, was called Rei Ai Su. If Dahasa thought she was going to let them invade her world then he was in for a shock!
Dahasa’s troops had landed near a waterfall, to set up camp and plan their attack, on the main citadel. Not the least bit worried, all, of the opinion, that it would be an hours work at most, to subjugate the populace, before plundering and pillaging the citadel.
Unknown to them, above the waterfall, pouring into the water, a toxic chemical were those from the Ai Su. Finishing their work, they sat back to wait. By morning Dahasa’s troops were killing each other hallucinating so badly, they could not tell their own kind, from the enemy. Their minds poisoned by the chemicals.
The battle raged until there were only a hundred or so, left. The Ai Su attacked slaughtering them. Only one remained, whom they sent back to Dahasa, with a message, they were coming for him!"
If some of the Kets had been loathe to pay too much attention at the start, by the time she had reached this point, they were sat all eyes on her, quietly waiting for her to continue.
“Dahasa of course laughed at the threat. He had the survivor beheaded, then prepared his troopers for another invasion of the Ai Su world.
As they went to leave his world, the Ai Su arrived. Their numbers it is said, swarmed across Dahasa’s home world, as millions capitulated or died. Finally capturing Dahasa, Rei Ai Su the head priestess, so legend has it."
Pausing she picked up a drink, to sip at it. ”Had him placed in chains and led before them, as they, moved between worlds.
All Dahasa had conquered, were freed from his tyranny. His power forever crushed?
We have the statue of Rei Ai Su so Kets will understand evil comes full circle to deliver its own punishment.

Xugan waved as Prince Iophan and Margise appeared. Followed by Princess Calina and Princess Catenia. The Kets broke up from the group, but not before Princess Catenia had much to Taon’s surprise, grabbed Nethasa, to growl at her.
“I hope, you didn’t tell them the whole story!“ Nethasa shook her head hissing back. “Of course not!“ “Good. Its not wise for them to know too much.“
Catenia turned, smiled at Prince Iophan, scowled at Margise before dragging Princess Calina away with her.
“What was that all about?” Squeals Margise, as Prince Iophan looked at Nethasa she was skittish, trying to avoid eye contact?
Darting off, it seemed on her part, was clearly a means to and end. Avoiding any more questions! “You know if I didn’t know better, I’d believe she didn’t tell us everything “
Taon looked at Bjoi. “Why?” “I sensed there was more to that story. Catenia drags her to one side, with them more than obviously, having words? I could hear them and Catenia, demanding to know, if she had said more, than she should have? I don't believe we had the full story at all!"
Eula was not convinced! “Who.“ She asked. “Likes Catenia let alone Carrianne, in the first place. They're Tirkwan.
Not the most pleasant of races." However, she had suspicions that Taon was probably right.
The look on Catenia's face when she had discovered what the story had been about, was more than just a scowl. Fury?
Or was it fear!
If there was a secret, Taon's curiosity had been stirred. Xugan had dismissed the whole thing as folklore, a legend at best and nothing of any significance.
Xugan and Ocasa had other priorities, they left them to head towards one of the main workshops, what to us would have looked like an aircraft hangar.
