The Elder Simeran were listening as the story unfolded they realised the truth.
What had been brought to life. Released, as predicted. Not that they had not already formulated a means to destroying it.
That however was NOT in their hands. The prophecy had told them, it had to be certain Kets who would bring about the beasts demise, NOT a Simeron!
Those, who had brought about the rise of the demon being? Apart from the female Ket, they were all dead.
Their bodies flung into a deep pit, within the mine. The chances of them being discovered?
NOT before the Ket had got what she was after!
Heliera had been the first to hear from Hoki that some of the Simeran had been attacked, they had fought the demon off, but it would only be a matter of time, before it would have enough power to seek revenge.
Her pendant started to glow. the light flared and there was Hoki in front of her! Safe! So this thing would be sent to recover?
Three pieces, of what Hoki was unsure, to bring them together with the piece they are sure the rogue Ket already has. |
Once that is achieved, whoever puts the fourth piece together with the others, has power over the Simeron.
"Surely your race, its powers go beyond this?!“ "We can do nothing, bound by the rules of the prophecies.
This one is very specific. We knew one day a Ket would bring back a demon. To destroy it, must be, by the action of a KET!"
"So you, will do nothing, but wait, until that is fulfilled?" Heliera was finding it hard to believe, what she was hearing!
This rogue Ket has one of the crystal pieces. With it they can locate the other three. Once the Crown is restored, all pieces together. The one who wears it will have power, beyond any living thing to stop it."
"It was feared amongst my race, that if the Crown with the crystal, remained as one piece, it could be used to subjugate us all under the will of one. Thus it was broken up. We don't know how the Ket came by one of the pieces."
Heliera had a good idea. "All Uanita's fault! That Likorian crystal." It had allowed the Gaisek to up its powers, had been stolen, examined by the Rogue Ket, who must have suddenly thought they had hit the jackpot!
She felt that if enough of the Simeron came together they could focus enough energy to destroy the thing. NO! They insisted it had to be within the known prophecy! She needed to know, the full details! They would only tell Hoki what they knew.
"Only you and some of your friends can help us!
You must raise Pantheus." Who or what the heck was Pantheus? She passed Heliera a Shelde. A mystical creature and it was believed a God amongst the Dragonja. Who were they? Of course Claria and her team had been given a drug in their drinks to forget their rescuer.
Heliera was not part of that team. Hoki powered their pendants, parsing information to her, so she could see the rescue.
So that was what one of the Dragonja looked like.
"They are to be found in the lands beyond the estuary, forbidden to us Kets, who, if we ignore the charter rules will, without question, be expelled from the Akademy!" She reasoned the Ket that had brought this all about, also knew, the Simeron could not involve the Kets, as it would mean expulsion.
“IT, does not know that there will be some, who will risk all, simply because of what we believe to be right, to protect our friends. You want us, to retrieve the other three pieces?"
"NO! To raise Pantheus. Leave that, to destroy the beast." A glimmer of hope, had entered Heliera's mind.
IF the Simeron had used it before, to destroy a similar demon, would the enemy Ket, know this? If they did not, the odds could be, in their favor.
"Hold on! You said the prophecy says. 'A Ket will see its destruction? Where does Pantheus come into this?
That's not following the prophecy, surely not!"
"Look, a Ket finds Pantheus, raises him, he fights the beast and its thanks to the Ket! Prophecy sorted."
Heliera sensed there was a little bit of artistic licence being played out with the interpretation.
No time to continue that line of thought. She needed to talk to the other Kets.
At the back of her mind, she had suspicions, the Simeron were hiding something. Maybe just in case things fell through; an alternative solution? Whatever it was, for now it could wait.
“It can’t be done!“ Ameryst was quite emphatic. “Anyone of us goes missing, that’s it! You know they conduct regular scans!"
She was not talking about Kets within the Akademy. NO. The area that overstepped the normal boundaries, a kind of no man's land? It was regularly monitored.
"That’s how those idiots Trida and Corleu got caught!” She paused to sip at her Frubu wash. before adding. “AND expelled!
Who wants to take the risk!
Yes we understand what you’re saying H but you’re asking a lot from us!“ Emerald moved closer.
“If that rogue Ket finds those pieces, I think getting expelled would be a bonus..“
Becci looked at those present, one by one, her eyes coming into contact with theirs. “I’m in. Hoki is fun to be with!
Have we or have we not, accepted her as one of us? A friend? There’s no way as far as I am concerned, that friends let friends down, in time of need!“
Becci's words had struck home, several of the other Kets now nodded, agreeing! “What we need is to find somewhere, we can talk this through, make plans, without the risk of others, overhearing us?“
Delise and the Kets agreed. Exactly what they needed, BUT? It was Aniette who appeared, not privy to the previous goings on.
She had overheard the latter remarks, taking Delise to one side there was a lot of muttering going on! Minutes later they rejoined them, Aniette was a little perturbed by Kibu, but accepted the other Kets approval of her presence amongst them.
“We think, we may have an answer. BUT it will mean a lot of work and involving some of the other Kets? Further investigation and from that, if we are lucky, we can then look for Kets in the field of genetics, biomorphic’s and regeneratives.”
They listened as Soniette told the story of Aniette. How there came to be two of them? It could be said that there was NOT a Ket present, that was not all ears! Well those that had ears!
Becci grinned. "That explains so much!" "I suggest Aniette, Becci and Ameryst go check out the unit. Take Ceila with you."
"Is that a wise idea?" "I think we can trust her. Her knowledge of the Embrion appears to be up to date.
How sophisticated that is, appears to have been answered by the clone Aniette.
Fooled most of you." "Well I thought the real Aniette was the clone." Delise started to laugh as she poked at Aniette.
"We sure this, isn't the clone and that it hasn't done away with the real Aniette?!" They started to laugh. Aniette was not the least bit amused!
"Alright, sorted. You Becci and Ameryst, find Ceila and head off down the mine. Make some excuse that you left some items there that you need to retrieve." Heliera watched them leave.
“If we can adapt the cloning machine, reprogramming some of its arrays to remove certain worker drone characteristics, improve the psyche arrays, we think we can produce duplicates, no one will notice anything out of the norm?”
"We will have to be careful that the real and the clone don't meet!" "I would not have thought that difficult." Delise smiled.
"Will that produce a paradox?"
Kibu laughs. "According to the laws of physics NO! That only occurs with identical life forms but phased out of their timeline meeting at the same point in time. Apparently causes not just one but both forms to be destroyed. That of course is not the same as inversion' which can occur, when two identical life forms from different dimensions, collide on one timeline."
"Uhh?" "Look say you were from a different dimension, on the same timeline? Causality would pre determine that both cannot exist on the same point in time, but can co exist on a parallel."
Becci made her eyes go cross eyed, they were laughing! She shook her head. "No more!" She howls! "Way out of my league this!" Delise, Anora and Becci left them, not, before they had discussed how, they could communicate without the system eavesdropping?
The usual coms units could be listened in on by the main system. No one told him, what they were up to. The question was asked and he, Corky; thought it natural curiosity. He told them to go and check in the collonades for a lesson in some coms technology, that some had forgotten, was the forerunner of the devices they now used.
