NOT our UNIVERSE. The Ashui had taken us into a new venture beyond all that we hitherto had known. For Human(a) their scientific knowledge far exceeded even the most advanced we had.
The new Portei Semperu particle mass accelerator had replaced the old transmat systems.. From the compact systems aboard our star ships to the planet or interstellar space stations, that were so huge they could allow space cities to space craft.
To traverse through them allowing them to jump from one part of space to the other in the blink of an eye. Folding space not totally reliant on wormholes.
Unlike us, Carbon lifeforms that had been enhanced by them to allow us to traverse space without the former problems that early travelers had had re the bone density losses and other debilitating issues.
Ageing for us Human(a) had also been heavily reduced.. now we were into 200 year lifespans and work was still continuing to alter the genome of our new borns to allow even longer ones.
The Ashui were Silica based lifeforms. VERY complex SILICATE beings.
Layers that were so finite as to be invisible to the naked eye but also to microscopic examination that fell short ot x times magnification so FINITE that it was..
Looking like ‘our’ CHILDREN on first seeing them we had been under the illusion they were just that. Over 50 years old re Human(a) ageing
They actually live on average for over 300 as they call it AUI (years)
The Qiverse the maps had been beyond all reason. IT was so vast and the expanse so infinite that even they did not know the full extent of its vastness.
What they did have were accurate mapping of some of the galaxies we were going to come into contact with.
WHO to trust, WHO to NOT or NEVER EVER trust... SLAVERS, TRADERS, PIRATES, the WEIRD the WONDERFUL and the seriously SPECTACULAR with star systems, planets where the mere sight of them took your breath away.
Safety wise we were enrolled into the GALACTIC FEDERA those known as the GALACIA FEDERA protecting those who were aligned with them from those who would seek to do them an injustice..
Other strange beings who wielded POWER and in GOOD measure to PROTECT we were also made aware of..
Religion and religious aspects DID exist AND it was important for us Human(a) to realize to KNOW that sometimes we MUST NOT OFFEND directly or indirectly some of those races
EVERY one of our starships had at least TWO and sometimes MORE of the Ashoi aboard. OUR primary systems were programmed to such a level that we already knew before making a decision to venture into any given area of the Qiverse as to what we could expect.
Portei Semperu had fixed destinations predestinations that were safe for us to use. NONE of the ones we had were dangerous, unpredictable.
The ‘network’ was so vast that it would generally be impossible to traverse it in any quantity.
WAR ZONES CONFLICT ZONES were clearly marked. NO entry into those areas was permitted. To do so was suicidal even with the weapon nay the PROTECTIVE SYTEMS we had that again were highly advanced.
GALACIA FEDERA had a declared ZERO ZONES systems notifications that was updated regularly by them and found on our systems that was automatically integrated into them.
IF they said AVOID NO ENTRY it meant just that. A ZONE could be
A whole GALAXY, star systems. Around them but NEVER through them.
For us.. we had too much to contend with or be CONTENT with that was well out of any HOSTILE ZONES.. True that did NOT leave us without sometimes encountering CONFLICTS even for the more peaceful ones that could occur.
Those who were FLEEING or RETREATING from HOSTILE ZONES could end up in NEUTRAL ZONES.. WE were NOT allowed to interfere with, make contact with or ... that was handed over to the GALACIA FEDERA.
Judgement made by them applied to ANY race.
Did not allow ANY race to dispute their decisions or to dare to attack them, refuse to obey their decisions.
ANY vessel outside of the HOSTILE ZONES encountered by them could be boarded. Totally impartial They could also DESTROY,
ERADICATE any THREAT or THREATS by ELIMINATING the THREAT or by totally DESTROYING it..
Ah indeed dust to DUST applied. The GALACIA FEDERA were made up of many races. Brought together to improve and enhance their powers.
Even the Ashoi, had those who served with the Galacia Federa.
Easily identified with the unique badge or emblem on their tunics.
A mix of races allowed them to ensure that the spread of information, mapping, warnings went without any real problems.
For the MALE and FEMALE Human(a) that amused the Ashoi they were BINARY and from birth could choose WHAT they wanted to be in final form and that applies FINAL FORM.. could NOT be changed, altered adapted to be anything else.
HOW they appeared determined how they would be perceived re their own kind.. FOR the Human(a) they determined to make it relatively easy in having forms that looked like or bore some resemblance ..
THEY DID NOT have the same EMOTIVE, EMPATHIC or similar re the Human(a) responses. Hence they did not get ANGRY, ANNOYED, REACTIVE to us. Hmm I guess the word IMPASSIVE springs to mind.
