Celeste reached down to her waist, unclipped the leather pouch. The slingshot in her hands as she placed the object into place. A signal to the others on her militia? Those things coming towards them. So Chau was not using the Reclu but holding them back and why might that be? The answer was soon apparent.

Claints (Clone armored intercept units!) Semi organic life forms produced by Heslat Laboratories. Genetic engineering. Virtually invulnerable until the rebels took one apart and found the weak spot.

All of them have a sac that has a tube topping it up with fluids that are required to stimulate its neural and physical responses. As with us Humans, when we get an Adrenalin rush?

The whirr of the slingshot and the pod like thing. slapped against the first of the Claints. A burst of energy from the weapon it was carrying. From within the gunge that Celeste had slung against it, crawled an insect like ambiotic lifeform. It was on the shoulder and now it slipped beneath the armor. A known weak spot by the rebels. The sac? It pierced it, injecting into it the poison. The moment the 'Adrenalin rush' as we would know it kicked in on the Claint, it was done for. Straight away the poison leeched into the fluids and was absorbed.

Within minutes, the Claint swayed and then dropped. It would not be long before the other five were dealt with. Chau was unconsoleable with rage! He executed two guards on the spot! They had only just returned from the diversion, thinking themselves lucky to be alive?! The Reclu were no match for these rebels. The moment his pets were down, the rebels were gone.

To release the hostages. The news that the ‘Symphony’ had been hijacked? Truth was, there was nothing, but nothing, Chau could do, to stop the craft from leaving orbit into the beyond. NO one, had the right to stop, nor the sense, to dare to stop, the vessels... Such an action would have consequences beyond reason.

It would NOT be the action of a survivor. Claints? Celeste hated them. Not for what they were, the upper half of war victims, reprocessed by Hesat Laboratories into those things. What had been human beings with additional bio neural implants that turned them into zombified virtual killers. No sense of mercy, or morality. Her hatred, lay in those who had brought them into being. The sciestes, mostly geneticists.
