Holli had heard from Nathan aboard the Raptor, apologizing for the delays. It would seem that she needed to create a few delays of her own to hold up proceedings until he arrived. She had smelt a rat from the beginning, re the Cflen.
She suspected that the Raptor may have been intercepted deliberately to slow down its journey here.
As for the interception of her transmissions by them? They were NOT, to know of the technology she had at her disposal that revealed their eavesdropping! Now she would teach them a few lessons on deception. If they wanted to play games, she would teach them a valuable lesson in 'oneupmanship', starting that very morning.
“Ambasador Soira.” The Cflen Ariel, turned to see the figure enter the chamber. Suddenly one of the Fodawke appeared to be extremely agitated. It moved towards the Ambassador, its eyes fixed on him, its claws extended as they would have been ready for a kill. Not, one might agree, the best situation for the Cflen. Their guard turning on guests with no apparent good reason?
There were quite a few faces looking on as it continued to move towards the Ambassador, despite the Cflen’s attempts to stop it. Suddenly it screamed an awful ear piercing howl as from behind it Holli activated her, primary weapon systems. There was a flare of energy. The creature, felt the shock wave, it shook with rage. If its intention had been to attack the Ambassadoe, it had been distracted.
Holli had become the target of its affections. Aided by the other Fodawke, sweeping the Cflen to one side, as the creatures, made their move in her direction. Ariel had thought about using the lash on them. Two lashes would kill the Fodawke. True, these things would be doing her an enormous favor eating Holli! But that would be a terrible mistake.
It would set the main assembly here, against HER, but most of all HER people.
Ariel knew, she was being goaded to use her slave whips. A demonstration of the power of the Cflen that again would be prejudicial to her interests. Too late the things were upon Holli. Inches from her. She fired the concealed weapon, now brought up and into view. A plasma stream across both of the creatures. They crumpled into a heap. One across the other, the terrible, terrible howls of death in its throes dying away to nothing.
The bodies of the two beasts, slumped on the floor at the front of all those present. Holli has stopped firing, replacing the weapon out of sight, in its container. She looked at Ariel, their eyes met. Locked on each other. Ariel noted the slight curl of Holli’s lips. Any of these creatures who are found in future hereabouts, or off your vessel, will be terminated!" She turned to look at the Guard commander.

“It would seem appropriate to clear this chamber, whilst these creatures are removed! Proceedings will recommence tomorrow.” Holli moved past the Cflen, towards Ambassador Soira, making it clear she was most upset, at the way those things had encroached upon him? He wiped his forehead, still shaking. They left the assembly, the noise of voices, the air electric with what had just happened?
Minutes later they were in Holi’s chambers, she looked at Soira. “You can stop acting.“ He grinned “You’re a devious woman!” “Believe me, I am mild in comparison to that race! The Cflen deserved to be taught a lesson. I see the pheromone worked wonders, the creatures took great offense.”
