When they got to the residence they were introduced to the others present? Jesira and Ana, Mizac and Nathan were there! Quietly leaving them together, they excused themselves! Jes said something about how she recongised her but couldn’t think from where ! Later Noge confessed, ‘It was a moment I realised would remain with me as being one of the most special, for my entire life.’
It really was spectacular, with a Vifre, an unusual occurrence on Calfras lighting up the heavens! (Sun flare.) A heavenly omen? He fell in love with her, he openly admitted afterwards. They said their farewells and she even kissed him on the cheek! Unheard of !
Nathan knew who she was, but was loathe to say anything. Leave those present in the dark about his guest? It would be a while after that meeting before Noge realised the emissaries pleading for him to sell or exchange the residence, were mysteriously absent! Had they finally gotten the message?!
If he had been left wondering as to the identity of the mystery female, then it would not be a mystery for long. It would be Jes, who suddenly realised WHO she was ! Mid meal as they sat around eating when she stopped to exclaim at the top of her voice.
Staring at Noge who had also stopped eating to look at her. “You haven’t a clue have you! Who the female was? “ Noge was quick to shake his head, he was none the wiser, despite enquiries by him he had so far drawn a blank as to who she was!
Jes looked at Nathan. “I can’t believe that YOU, yes YOU! Could sit here knowing WHO she IS and not tell any of us!! “ Noge was somewhat confused and irritated by Jes’s intimations? “ Not tell us WHAT?! “ “That YOU were kissed by the Queen of Caltras ? Queen Velicia! Of the Royal house of Psemon!!”
It took him some time to accept the truth, he eventually realised, that she had discovered how much he loved the place! He was in love with her, yet he knew, nothing could come of it, finally he sent an emissary to her, to apologise for abusing Royal Priviledge. Though it was, widely known at Court, that Noge HAD Royal Priviledge, awarded to him by her father.
He was unsure if he would get a reply, another emissary? The arrival of a transporter bearing the Royal Crest had his attention. Troopers pouring from it might have given most the impression they were in trouble! Yet they kept their distance and stood close to the craft not moving as she emerged from it! No she had not sent an emissary. He was astonished to see her!
The moment he gave the impression he was humble before her, she scolded him. “My father, my people, owe you and your friends, the peace we enjoy. I will NOT have you thinking that you are beneath me! “ Did he see some hint of a smile cross her lips when she said that?
They talked, he told her that she could have the place. “I can’t stand being here” he had said ”Looking out across the falls, remembering the sunset I shared with you and not” he didn’t finish his words, but she knew what they were.
It was then she told him, that she could not, would not take it on, unless he agreed to share it with her, on a social basis. She would turn it into a ‘Foiq ec tuql ‘ a place of meditation, of peace and solitude they both could use.
A place out of bounds to anyone except their friends and chosen individuals permitted to attend. Close quarters were acquired for them some distance from the main, ‘Amorcanda Palace’ as Velicia referred to it.
What ‘indiscretions’ could her brothers or others mutter about ? She would have none of it! A simple threat to anyone who dared speak ill of her or Noge! She would permit NOTHING! To spoil their closeness They spend time together, as often as she can join him there.
Never mind the others who go about their various tasks or melt into the background, or join them as they read aloud the poetry, play music, paint or just sit there listening to the waterfall. Noge never joined with another female, the Queen never joined, her brothers to everyone’s surprise, were elated at hearing the news.
Their father had given Noge an honour rarely accorded to any individual outside of the Royal Court. Deimon was also a close friend of Nathan’s. Why Nathan had been at Royal Court, introduced to Princess Velicia who finally realised who he was!
