The ‘A terra’ had realized, their technological brilliance had seen a decline in their civilization. Beyond their Portei Semperu the Qiverse had seen them at the mercy of those who sought to steal, to take by force the essence of their power.
Leaving the city behind that had once been a marvel of creation in itself some, and I say SOME took on the mantle of a simpler quieter life. The rest had the option to go to other places.. beit worlds beyond theirs or even space stations.. interstellar craft.
Attacks, on their city, had seen them, set up a powerful shield, to shroud them, from space. They suddenly to those who would seek them out, based on information that had been sold to them, found nothing.
That race had vanished.
Using the Portei Semperu would give away their location so that was now dormant.
Unused even to those who would seek to use that as a location.. Without power to it it was useless.
Thus the A terra secure for the centuries to come..
Their technological prowess however remained as always.. far ahead of many other races one might well they did; suppose. Some of their race had ventured out into the Qiverse seeking out other worlds, other races.
Willing to share some of the secrets of their races abilities to produce the new Portei Semperu.. Some of the older ones were truly date and incapable of the modifications they needed to travel beyond certain depths within the Qiverse.
True, they could, install the new Portei Semperu but it was too expensive for many races to adopt.
The Arcan were the power controllers, the ones who had the ultimate say in how the Portei Semperu were powered.
Any decision by them to deny the right to such power meant no such ability however well designed OR built that travel device might be.
Alternative means of powering such devices could merit the attention of the Arcan. The response of literally destroying such devices could also see them permanently denying those who had attempted such divisive methods banned FOREVER from the use of such travel.
Thus few EVER attempted such. The A terra Portei Semperu could be installed and the A terra would collect a revenue from those they gave credit to AND provided the PS to. Fully built and commissioned by an Arcan.
Restricted use of such could be controlled by the A terra.
They in return got rich not only Draxetnum (gold) but other essential resources.. pure silicates one of the most sought after but also further adding to their knowledge archives from the tech they stole from other races.
Time travel ah yes, the means to do that via the modified Poreti Semperu was something that was discovered by accident AND no they did NOT adopt it for their use. NOT stupid enough to know that messing about with that could change the FUTURE.. in ways that were far more destructive than productive.
The Gods of Creation the ones who were indeed the true Ancient ones,.. the A terra were descendants though some found historically, where they came from, how their race was created, came into being?
Confusing, more MYTHOLOGY than actual ANTHOLOGY..
The ‘archives’ contained extensive records of that but buried deep within a mountain, seldom if ever accessed by those who were later generations. Today was all they cared for. Living in the moment the here and now.
For many of them had from stolen knowledge managed to extend their lives almost to the extent one could call them immortals.. YET to claim they were was an insult to the Gods of Creation.. ONLY they could give that as a gift to a MORTAI or mortal.
Their genome had been rewritten. An offense they were careful to hide from any PROGESTOR. Only that being could alter a Genome DNA whatever race.. to ignore that was asking to see your race terminated OR sent back to the primitive reit.. think of that as the first primitives the ones whom had little or no knowledge of how to survive let alone plan their futures.
Luckily none had the need of such. NO Progestor would be seen bothering with their world. ONLY when called upon by those able to do so did such happen. Thus TRILLIONS of worlds, planets, colonies?
They never saw such a being.
Birth and the genesis of their race was one might say au naturelle. The Human(a) had for centuries used the basic form of conception.. of birth. Future wise that would change and in some instances a PROGESTOR would appear to seed life..
Extinction events would and could leave a world so trashed that even re seeding life could be more a case of receding .. but fail once, try again would happen; might be lucky for us all, that that was more applicable where they were concerned.
Many of their race were out in the far reaches of the Qiverse. Some content to accept they were luckier than others in what they achieved. Others sought continuously to achieve to perceive to deceive and yet feel entitled to have more, more that was equatable to the Gods themselves.. the Gods of Creation?

With the TRILLIONS of the true believers the ones they called ZEALOTS committed to follow their orders.. to slaughter at will any they deemed unbelievers..
Those who denied the A terra converts to their right to be bowed down before. to surrender sacrifices to a GOD.
