Her equipment for tracking incoming craft from space was deliberately, well she had figured out NOW.. that the tech was compromised.

The only way she could assess the situation to get the facts was by using the services of a Satellite systems engineer NOT an ARCAN and nothing to do with the Celestial Clock. Communication systems. Naig was finding that her access to certain surveillance systems were being denied.
In her situation she could not query such a denial. NOR would it have been good for her career to do so. She was highly paid, her family on Solus 3 (Earth) relied on her.
To let them have / maintain an acceptable level of existence in a special zone for the recognised operatives who were NOT regarded as menials nor iClones under the Ai entities control.
Nueja was a off world trader who had built up a good rapport with Naig when her craft had suffered a navigation error.
Using point to point, doppler effect, tracking the signal transducer firing a signal, picked up by her systems, that followed the signal to the landing area. To guide her in safely.
Losing the craft would have been a seriously NOT good for her situation.
“On your way out... can you keep your coms open and visual scanners active?” Nueja knew she was banned by the Orians from having such operational. IF they detected she had active systems scanning their fleet..
Was it a genuine error or?
Most Orians would simply give a warning to her to comply and turn off those systems.. OR else.
From Teuin she carried some treats that the Orians regarded as rare, Thus to take action would NOT, definitely NOT involve the destruction of nor the interference of her crafts operational capabilities.
Siouz the fleet commander was one who liked her. They shared similar interests and those included those treats.
Often meeting up with one of their localized small cargo vessels to some known as Zimps? to unload some of that special cargo and on this occasion she realized she could get close to the fleet AND not be challenged.
NONE of the Orians dared to upset Siouz. NOR in truth did they have any reason for Nueja to be a spy for the Human(a).
As for the electronic surveillance gear aboard her vessel.. they considered that low power and more localized rather than capable of long distance ie to Solus3 (Earth) transmission, with reception from those primitives.
Ljia had some quite advanced technology thanks to those who were into scanning the depths of some of the Oceans.
Partly via optics utilizing the rigs microwaved signal transponders, encoders. Increasing the quality of some of the components, interfaces had been a revelation. 
The signals could remain strong. unaffected by deep ocean variables.
For space however her coms with Naig had been surprising both of them.
NOT affected by atmospherics. the usual nuisance drop out, high latency problems no longer being such. PLUS the distance she had had to trim the signal as drift beyond the satellite systems could occur.
TOO powerful. Likewise Naig had had to make some adjustments.
Receiving the signals from Lji good strong harmonics but sometimes too strong, creating a variable distorted tone, that was not so pleasant on the ear.
Thus the signal from Nueja would remain strong and, it would fake until she opened a shift in space, for the signal to be lost.
That transmission could not be detected. The Orians used far more advanced technology that was outside of and ignored the bandwidth that Nueja had adjusted her equipment to transmit on.
Some old equipment had been given to her by Ljia who had stripped out the navigation gear and was repairing, replacing certain items.
NONE were taking any real notice of the repairs AND the installation of additional equipment.
Whilst her craft, was loading up new items for trading off world by her..
The extra items going to her. BUT Her crew, were not interested in being nosey. This gear was old.. old and had them laughing at how antiquated it was in comparison to theirs.
The inductors / conductors were capable of processing the old signals. transmitters and receivers aligned AND in phase, only in Nueja’s private area.. ‘cabin’.
IF the Orians had carried out an inspection, they too would probably have laughed. A toy.. a reliquary.
Renais even Yes, renais items were prized. Some of her customers were Human(a) who had been transported by her to new colony sites.
The docking of the zimp to take off the treats took place and without any intererence from the Orians.
Naig had acted as a relay station.. boosting the signal before it hit the atmosphere to disappear below picked up by the receivers of Lji’s base systems.
Isolated channels that were heavily encrypted and totally undetectable by those other than the ones who were permitted to have access to them. The female who was with Ljia was Alien. NOT from Orias.

Somehow the power she had she had over all within her vicinity. A kind of mind control.. well numbing their senses to her being anything other than one of them. However it was not what was taking place there which was of concern or should I say, interest.
The Arcan had been talking to Symp.. Knowledge he would make sure she had access to the archives aboard their craft. THIS being WHOever whatever the ? it was?! The feather headdress reminded Symp of a race she had encountered before though not as ALIVE as this being..

Quick on her feet. Symp shifted to pick up an item.. Removed from her knapsack.. A small spherical marble ball with streaks of crystalline in it. She threw it at the being.. “Hmm,,” thought Nodu what was going on here..
Yie was grinning.. seeming to know what and why Symp had done what she had just done?
She shifted closer to Nodu.. “Clever, this Human(a) is clever. That ball is a NEGATIVELY charged device.
IT will attack the high POSITIVE energy being swallowed up by that being.. COMPROMISE its integrity, Yes this one is clever in her use of physics. “

IF Symp had thrown in a grenade, the explosive blinding flash, would have been the same.

“NO. it will be back. What I did was interrupt the flow of its energy absorption. Caused it to become unstable.
