Changes.
There wasn’t a darn thing, they did not somehow, contrive to change! Oh it started off, innocently enough.
The means to end starvation? Feed the world. An opportunity for those who had profited previously to capitalize again.
Patents, licences to produce the crops. ‘No licence, no crop.’ You have to buy the seed, the special fertilizer and other, what they deemed essential and compulsory purchases, under the terms of the contracts.

Strict controls and monitoring of crops, NOT to ensure Genetically Modified foods got out of control but were kept in control and to that end, they built in sterility to the seed. One crop and that was it.
In the end the governments backed down and instigated organic programs aimed at creating home grown crops allowing the people to select their option on seeds? The people it seemed had won?
Until the population grew, massive over population; to the levels, where the Scieste were hailed as heroes, delivering solutions to the hunger. They mutated the seeds to produce massive crops. Triple the normal yields?
Crops appeared on store shelves, same size, harder skins, toughened resistance to pests and disease.
All the same size, bananas thicker, longer, straight. New fruits, formed from genetically modified trees, fruit bushes. You could buy, crops of anything, out of season.
So you ask, what was a season on Earth ?

Before crop genetics, you bought things through the year as was, you know what I mean ?
No of course you don’t do you?
Well take the humble €˜potato’. You had that as a NEW potato in the spring , it was full of flavor and could be eaten, with the skin on, boiled in water, not so much these days because water is an expensive commodity!
But I digress, as the potato headed towards summer its skin started to age, if kept in the right conditions out of the light and cool it would be ok to eat, but the skin would be much tougher? Sure you could peel it, boil it and mash it, or you could leave the skin on and ‘bake’ it in an oven, to crisp up the skin which was often the case.
Then came the ‘CLIMATE protagonist’ war. The problems with soil contamination, Chemical pollution, contaminants from devices built using materials that seeped chemicals into the soils? That caused people to think twice about leaving the skins on.
Geneticists had wanted, for a long time, to meddle with food. An ideal opportunity to experiment, create the perfect crop, cure the hunger issues and help improve the harvests? It pushed them ever more, towards their autocratic controls, until finally, GM foods were more than common place. It was not widely accepted, by the more concerned environmentalists.
Prepacked, precooked, reheat or rehydrate to consume; goods that encompassed full meals, to snacks.
Shove it in the micro unit and eat. But the concentrated vitamin and food pills were gaining popularity.
Especially amongst the affluent, who were too busy to stop and eat a full meal.
Some could contain additives, that were the equivalent of the worst that chemicals could produce.
Taste enhancers, calorie reducers, tonics and more; more toxins. Ah yes heavily processed SLURRY
The EFFLUENT for the menial, the lower beings.. from those getting rich; ah the AFFLUENT.
What you have to understand that food is at the core of the populace. Control the food supplies and you control the bulk of the people. Governments, politicians, military. All that offer you, the power, the control, the ability; to dominate.
Cheap trinkets, for the menials. Allow them to indulge in and get away with what THEY could get away with BUT NOT in the more refined.. luxury ELITE areas..
Reward the worst of the worst, the ones the worst would not dare to offend.. Tease to obtain obedience, from some menials, put up to rule and create their own mob rule. Throw in some exclusive luxuries, only made so by restriction WHO could have them and you gain even more power.
You can bypass normal rules and protocols to get the certification to do this, or that at will. Untouchable.
Ah Geneticists also concerned themselves in other aspects of life.
Change the sex of your child, the color of its eyes, skin pigmentation. Experiments on animals. cloning, regenerates with strength, the ability to take orders, to replace military personnel. To enforce the growing power of the geneticists to levels they had never dreamed of.
It can be said that some were responsible for their actions. Caring, attentive and concerned.
Others were not. Out to capitalise at every opportunity, thrown their way. Wealth, power, influence.
Terrible, terrible wars with biochemical weapons. robot armies. Drone and other similar weapons?
Starvation, disease, until your enemy capitulated. No mercy. Enslaved. .Ah yes, the ‘ SLAVERS’. Those who bought and sold human beings like they were cattle. Males had decided the female was a nightmare, a blight on their existence with their constant woke attitudes and demands to be treated as equals only to bully, intimidate, exploit the males they could with a vengeance.
Partnerships, relationship issues were traced time after time to the female former ‘ feminists’;

The problem had laid with those who were woke antagonists, at every opportunity creating trouble, attacking businesses, individuals, spreading rumours and making false allegations, that led to some, losing their livelihood, being stigmatized for something they had been falsely accused of?
Reputations trashed overnight AND those who had been the liar, the cheat, the real criminal; walked away unscathed. Whilst others even ELITES who had been a friend, a companion watched as the fallen now fell victim to their greed, their taking possession for next to nothing cost wise..
Owning those now forced to work for them, enforcing the former debts on them, to repay backed by the law? What law! A mob owned and run by those criminals who worked for that lot. Taking care of problematic ‘persons of interest’.
Thus it would not take long, for those who saw those, who could attack them, often using ‘mob mentality’
to do it; The ones who turned to using new technologies such as media to do so; were now using ‘hunters’ trained to find them and carry out the wishes of their masters.

The problem gradually became more sophisticated. Intricate scanning and tracking of individuals.
Gangs who roamed those places. to find, attack, remove the parts ..freely trade them on in auctions to the highest bidder.
Those who sought to escape? The all new Ai entity had not only demanded ALL were scanned or face harsh penalties.. enforced by those such as Aegis. DNA, physiology, anatomically, ALL recorded, imprinted within its archives. WELL almost all.
The realization that the truth was out meant the round up, the forced registrations turned violent or the rebels taking refuge in the mountains.. isolated areas well away from the Ai entities dominance.
Those who wanted total subjugation of the lower classes? Their sciestes came up with the perfect solution,

It was a worm. Liken one might say to the tape worm.. They had altered its DNA construct. Placed into the blood stream by an innocuous injection, for the health and wellbeing of the host, so it was maintained.
It produced a sub neural toxin that subdued all of the normal emotions to do with will and that included opposition, free thought. Needed little to keep the thing active except the host being fed, watered and kept in reasonably good health.
You could expect a good thirty years or so from adolescence, until the parasite, took over the brain completely. Unfortunately, dying shortly after. The host became vegetative, loss of motor functions. unable to move, incapacitated, brain dead.
The knowledge the power the Orians offered.. for the right to experiment on what this race called the menials. Secret bases, heavily protected and what they did in those sectors remained under the control of the Orians.
Ah the Geneticist elite finally given the ability to produce iClones. Managed by the appointed; anointed select few forming the ‘Star corporation’. Offering up their all new Star babes.. iClones. To cater for all needs was an understatement.

Compliant, obedient AND later models ? The realization that the ‘Soul’ hitherto an unknown quantity could now be harnessed and placed within an all new iClone shell. Old could become whatever they wanted..

Free will, FREEDOM? For the Elite iCLONES the rest were still subservient under the control of their new master or masters and the Ai entity was one of those. MILLIONS under its control. IF the idea existed that those who could locate that could destroy it and end the oppression..
The key, ah yes what became known as the key. The only means to KNOW where the main Ai entity was to be found, NOT that it was not well protected. ALL seeing, ALL knowing, before any could get close to it, they were wiped out..
Amalgamated, Electronic Grouping, Intuitive, Security. AEGIS were the ones who had absolute power over life and death. Formed initially with good intentions.. it became corrupt aided and abetted by the Ai entity AND the Orians.. They needed to ensure that any of these primitives who were seen as a threat to them..
NOT so much an actual threat more of a fly in the ointment so to speak.. were taken care of.
THEY could not be seen to be involved.. Hence that went to and under the auspices of AEGIS for which of course they received handsome rewards.
Those who opposed the ‘Ai entity’ the ‘establishment’ found themselves targeted. Firstly they had no choice but to register their DNA, biological, genetic scans and more OR face serious conequences.
During that process, they were instantly recognised as a threat and given the ‘Pite’. Kept in a secure place until that had taken hold.
Laboratories. research facilities gone.. Reduced to rubble.
Even if there were off the main land masses. such as Research station 2Z4 were targets, vandalized, equipment destroyed, energy systems removed or trashed.
