Margise decided to pay Narya a visit. TO ensure they fully understood the rules on holding the hut. “We did some upgrading on the lock. “Uhh?” Lumark stepped closer to them. “Well the old miners one was virtually non existent and to seize the flag, they will have to get inside.“ “Yes Thanks to Penwa,“ Margise glanced in his direction, such a small Ket. Smaller than Doona and he was small?!

“Penwa?“ Narya nodded, Margise watched him working with two others shifting things, he was certainly a hard worker even if he was much smaller. Narya grinned “Don’t even go there.” Margise looked at her. “We all want to cuddle him and believe me he growls.“ She laughed. "You can't hide your flag. It has to be, on the top! Gives the other teams a fair shot at capturing it. Remember, if any team takes your flag off the hut, you have to surrender the hut to them. Retire to the lower ground." She pointed to where Claria had been, hours earlier with her team.

She left, to make her way across to Cistera’s team, who were busily engaged in building an impromtu sheltered unit. There were NO caves where they were, BUT resources in other directions were in abundance. It should be said that Cistera was somewhat relieved to see her.

“Taon has been driving us all up the wall, well almost.“ She started to laugh. “I’ve never known a Ket that is so darn curious. Nose in everything. Do it this way, that’s not the way to do it. I’ve read somewhere that if.“ More laughter. “We’ve camouflaged the dome unit looks pretty impressive. “Cistera smiled, that’s before, we go on the offensive, scouting this afternoon, to see where the others are.” Corky had been pleased to see Sadowan and the rest of them, Ocasa was talking, almost non stop.

Telling Corky about what they had found? “Probably old mining site. Judging by the equipment left behind a LONG time ago. You’d probably feel at home Corky.” Ocasa laughed. “I’ll take two merits off the team for that.“ Sadowan glared at Ocasa. Corky burst out laughing. “Only joking..” She started to smile. “Ocasa did tell me about your sense of humor.” Belanna had been told about the cave and the chambers, especially the drawings.

She was busy begging Corky. “Can you take some images for me. We might not get to see the place?” Sadowan shook her head. “We could make a detour.” There was a groan from the others. Fesh shook her head. “Not me, how boring is that! Some old mine ruins!“ Ceopa was inclined to agree with her. “It could also be dangerous.” Aldrei looked at Corky. “Ocasa and Fre, found some evidence of erosion, but also veins of K44t yellow rock that we analyzed. They contain substantial fusive reactive chemicals, in between the layers, break those layers and let them fuse?.“

“Any heat or sudden contraction of those rocks could cause a compression fracture. Explosive?! Just don’t go lighting that old pipe of yours Corky. Otherwise it’ll be more than a tail getting scorched.“ “We think that vein of rock probably runs that entire section of caves and rock formation. Plus we found a lot of V-light. Created from the slurry after mining the Trexl.” Its that V-light that causes the catalyst to the main chemical. As it breaks down, it causes a flammable gas to be released.

If it drips onto K44t substrate? Ignites? KABOOM!“ “Well, I hear there have been some incidences in the past with minor explosions occurring, but nothing was done about it. They are talking about doing some mapping of the mines including the caves.”

The clouds had started to build up. Forming through the day, it definitely looked, as though a storm, was heading their way? Corky too concluded the season was changing. He was not aware of how volatile it could be on this planet as now it started to rain and HEAVY.

The rain did NOT affect Narya’s team, they were well ensconced listening to the, as we would call it radio units, broadcasting music of sorts. Some retro, which was well received by them. There were a few of them who were not keen on Renais music. Let alone the Retro bands. “I don’t see why they need to keep repeating a lot of that old Renais stuff “ Lumark grizzled as Kinsey laughed. “Some of it, is really good, you can be such a Mooze, sometimes.“

He said nothing, as he picked up his game unit and turned it on, to link into the sat system to play some AltT7 game. Kinsey watched as he set it up. “I’m not sure, that was allowed. They might frown on you bringing that.“ Lumark said nothing settling back to play the game ignoring her only to be interrupted by Ethan. “Who’s taking over guard?” Ethan and Soniette stepped in. “Coleja and Cxan.“ They both, now moved, to take the weapons off them, as they shifted out, for Coleja to return, grab a wrap and leave muttering. “Its getting colder and colder.”

“Do they get Izuai?“ Ethan looked across at Lumark to hiss at him, unusual as it was, getting his attention. “What?.“ “Coleja wants to know do they get Izuai here?” Lumark started to grin. Not it should be said at Coleja, but at a thought crossing his mind? He glanced at Coleja and the weapon, of what we might have deemed a metallic nature?

What she was wearing on her feet? “I’d NOT, if I was you HOLD onto that weapon, put it down but NOT too close, just enough if you want it in an emergency? Otherwise you might end up a fried Ket.“ Kinsey was keen to know what the heck Izuai was? “Oh.“ “I believe you Humana, call it, LIGHTNING.“

“Izuai.“ Claria watched as Mawena stepped towards her, waving at her although she definitely had Claria’s attention. “Look up there, see those clouds? Notice the dark grey at the top, with the lower white to grey next to them and the gap?” Claria could admit her eyesight was probably better than M’s.

Sure enough she could see what M was panicking about.“If that strikes we’re out here in the open and exposed. Anyone of us, could get struck by it.“ Some of the others had gathered around them nodding their heads, keen, one might say, to keep theirs intact. “We need to find shelter and judging by.” Her voice tailed off as it started to rain. Only small drops but a good indication of what was to come. They could hear, the sound of thunder as we would know it, a rumble in the distance!

Ameryst was grinning. “Sounds a bit like your stomach Claria when you’re hungry.“ Sajani had been investigating some of the openings. across from where they were stood. He waved as Doona nudged Claria for her to turn in his direction, pointing at them and then at the cave behind him?

It would not be long before Claria’s team had moved themselves and their things, into the cave. Not a minute too soon. The rain had gone from a few drops to a torrential downpour? “I chose this cave, because it has only one way in. We only need to post guards at the entrance. Another cave had been discovered, about the same time, by Edram? He had decided, since they had already made moves into this one, with most of their gear hurriendly stashed inside the entrance, to leave things as they were?

He was not, convinced, that this was as good a cave, as the one he had found ! For a starters as he made clear to Bjoi, the one he had found had a way out at the back and was much larger! He felt a little penned in where this one was concerned! Claustophobic? “It’s perfectly natural..” Kelawi had put her pack down and was handing out some food packets to them. That was one of the good things with being on Kelawi’s team, they had a few extra’s, food and drink wise, the other Kets did not get. “I know quite a few of my friends, who don’t like confined spaces, particularly Animors.“

Edram glanced over to Claria, she didn’t seem too concerned, well not until the thunder roared closer and the Izuai flashed streaks of 'lightning bolts' hitting the ground. Some distance from them, but clearly visible. We need to heat the drinks! They ignited some of their burner packs, the heat from them was being appreciated. The air was getting distinctly colder in the cave. “Light them at the front of the cave, allow air to them, will generate more heat.

They’ll burn much better and kick some of the heat back into the cave as they heat the liquid. The ignition units kicked into life and ignited the burners. The flare of energy, that flicker of color? Warmth. Ah yes. Warmth! Along the entrance to the cave, there was the odd glimmer of light dancing along the front of the wall? From, as far as the Kets, well most of them were concerned, the Izuai lightning bolts, all too clear in the distance backed up with the thunder.

A booming sound! Claria, as an Animorphisic had extra sensitive hearing? She adjusted some ear plugs to turn down the sound level. “One of the disadvantages to us having such good hearing!” Some comfort to Edram, Sevenea noting how nervous he was and how he almost jumped, every time the Izuai struck the ground. “I think I have something in my pack that will help you relax a little, a very mild action relaxant.

She leaned in to withdraw a small container, from which she poured some powder, into his drink. Sip that and you’ll feel much better. Sevenea had had the good fortune to bring some medication with her, just to calm her down. She could get over excited, though that was perfectly normal with her race and her age? It could in itself be problematic, particularly with other Kets! They would have found her over activity, draining on them.

The thought had NOT crossed her mind, as Edram swallowed it back, on whether, he might have a reaction to the drug, worse still for it to be life threatening? Giving YOUR medications to others, is NEVER a good idea! As she would, though not at this moment in time, discover. For now, it appeared, Edram was actually feeling a little more relaxed! Van Ea had been finishing off her drink, sipping the last drops to go and rinse her cup.

Stepping towards the entrance, as Bjoi and Sajani, passed her with their drinks, to go and sit at the back and drink them. Bjoi had noticed the expression on Van Ea’s face, it was one of someone in deep thought? WHY? Well Van Ea had been sat at the back where they were now sat. She too was looking at the shimmer from within the archway of the entrance to the cave? WHAT was in the recess of her mind that she was sure, was VERY relevant? Rinsing her cup, she stepped back into the cave, noting the wisps of energy from the burner units? Wisps dancing in the air? GAS? She sniffed the air then screamed!
