Was it rage, pulsing through her at the mere mention of her.
“What would you give in return for your freedom?” "If I could take my revenge? Anything." It showed the Gaisek holographic images of the Jogarth. The newly arrived Kets. Enjoying their freedom. "My race was attacked, thousands murdered by them. I seek the same justice. Promise you will see them delivered into the same fate you have had to suffer and I will give you your freedom.“
“Release me.” “Not until I have your word.” “You have it!” “Then it is done! Lie to me Gaisek and you will wish this place, she put you in, was still your home." Suddenly, it was free! No longer within its prison. "I have kept my word, now make sure, you keep yours. Remember I will accept nothing except the same fate for those Jogarth Kets.”
The Ket, gave her several items, including food and water. A suit, that she quickly scrambled into. It was freezing cold, she needed the extra clothing. Warm, with enough to keep her fed and watered, a place to stay not far from there. An old service building, no longer in use where she could hide out. It had cooking, basic furniture, cleansing facilities, water and heating.
Watching the one who had set her free, leave. Vanishing in the distance? She smiled. "Now, I will finally, have my revenge.“ She could not have seen the face of the one who had freed her. They wore a mask. Was it a male Ket or a female Ket? Whoever it was, had done what they had set out to do. It was simply a matter of time. Isabellani's brats would face the same fate.
No doubt you are wondering as to HOW the Gaisek was trapped?
The Gaisek had been at the Akademy just as any Ket from a distinguished family, might be, when the news had been brought to her? A Jogarth invasion force, had attacked her home world? The savage battle, had left a lot of her people slaughtered or taken as slaves? Her planet occupied by Jogarth invaders. It would seem a friend of Isabellani's had come by the news direct from her and felt the Gaisek should know.
Alone. Family murdered or enslaved. Friends rallied to comfort. Others like the Jogarth, Isabellani relished embellishing the truth to cause further pain to the Gaisek. Taunted her, abused her and reminded her that when she left the Akademy she would have no home to go to. Friends quick, to offer her future refuge? Sometimes even that, is not enough, to wash away the pain, the sadness, of having lost everything!
Isabellani constantly heckling her. Laughing at her, mocking her. To the point the Gaisek became almost psychotic. She would bide her time, wait for the moment, when she would strike, act as the Jogarth had with her people. No mercy. She plotted with others, who also hated the Jogarth. BUT! Isabellani was to learn of her intentions.
She decided to play along with it, turn it round to her advantage, Not to kill her, but to trap her. It brought her into the open, at night, by the stones. The Gaisek had no idea, that her intended victim was aware, of what was to occur. She was horrified, to discover the Gaisek who she had always believed to be weak, a push over; was anything but!
Isabellani was LOSING. The Gaisek, about to deal the fatal blow to Isabellani. No hesitation, in the desire to see her dead. Suddenly they were there! Interfering! The Haphketsut Cistera stopped her from delivering the final blow. The Haphketsut Princess Cistera of the accursed Fendiq, with the Bexian Princess Soniette, now helping Isabellani to her feet?
Isabellani deployed the device she had acquired. The Gaisek, before their very eyes vanished! If Cistera and Soniette were to question Isabellani further, in her suspected complicity, it was a waste of their time. Of course, she denied everything! That device, had been thrown down some distance from where they were, out of sight. To them, she had nothing on her of any significance. They could prove nothing.
Soon after the event, Isabellani had left the Akademy. Moved on to be a conqueror in her own right, to have her own Kets to be powerful! Someone found the device, restored it, played with it, learned how it worked and what it could do. Revenge? How did they know of the Gaisek being trapped? The device had given them a holographic image. Data on events. The device had kept an imprint of the last person to use the device. Isabellani of the Jogarth. The same race who had slaughtered thousands of its people.
